Best Tally Add-ons and Companion Tools for FMCG Order and Inventory Management (2026)
Start with TallyPrime itself: release 7.2 (October 2026) already handles sales and purchase orders, batches with manufacturing and expiry dates, multiple godowns, price lists, and connected e-invoicing and e-way bills. Add-ons earn their place in three gaps: getting orders from the field into Tally (Biz Analyst, SalesOn), extending Tally with TDLs from TallyShop or developers like Antraweb, and feeding Tally from the systems that run channels it was not built for, such as Unicommerce or EasyEcom for marketplaces, Bizom for distributor sales, and FilFlo for quick commerce and modern trade POs.
How a tool connects matters as much as what it does. Some run inside Tally as TDL, some sync through Tally's XML, ODBC or JSON interfaces, some host Tally for you, and some hand over a file your team imports. Pick the mode your accounts team can support at month-end, not just the feature list.

Before you read: FilFlo is our product, and it is not a Tally add-on
FilFlo publishes this guide and appears last, in the group of channel systems that feed Tally. It connects to Tally only through report exports formatted for Tally import; there is no FilFlo connector, API or TDL for Tally, and we say so in its entry. Everything about other tools comes from their own product, help and pricing pages, and Tally Solutions' release notes, checked in October 2026. Tools we could not confirm as current were left out.
⚡ Key Takeaways
- TallyPrime already covers order processing, batch and expiry, godowns and price lists. Most FMCG brands need add-ons for channels and field sales, not for stock basics.
- TallyShop is the first stop for small gaps: one-year subscriptions, 20% renewals, and a Try mode on your own data.
- Biz Analyst and SalesOn put Tally order entry on the sales team's phone.
- Marketplace volume belongs in Unicommerce or EasyEcom, which post to Tally; distributor secondary sales belong in a DMS such as Bizom.
- Quick commerce and modern trade POs are an order-to-cash problem; FilFlo runs them and hands Tally a pre-mapped import file, not a live sync.
Start Here: What TallyPrime 7.2 Already Does for FMCG
The most common Tally add-on mistake is paying for something Tally already does. TallyPrime 7.2, released on 12 October 2026, is the current version, and its built-in features cover more FMCG order and inventory work than many teams use:
- Order processing: sales orders with delivery notes and tracking numbers linked to invoices, purchase orders linked to receipt notes, outstanding-order reports, partial cancellation and pre-closing of orders.
- Batches and expiry: batch-wise stock with manufacturing and expiry dates, plus batch-wise ageing and batch summary reports.
- Godowns: multiple warehouses, racks or cold stores, with transfers through stock journals.
- Pricing: price levels and price lists attached to party ledgers, with quantity-based discounts.
- POS billing: a separate POS voucher with split payment modes and barcode scanning through item aliases (Tally does not print barcode labels, which is one reason barcode TDLs exist).
- Compliance: connected e-invoicing and e-way bills; release 7.2 keeps e-invoice and e-way bill portal sessions alive for up to 30 days instead of six hours.
- Data in and out: Excel import since release 4.0, JSON import and export since 7.0, plus XML, ODBC and TDL for integrations.
Connected features (e-invoicing, e-way bills, GST filing, browser and remote access) need an active Tally Software Services (TSS) subscription, listed at Rs 4,500 a year for Silver and Rs 13,500 for Gold, plus GST. Add-ons are priced on top of that and the licence.
Four Ways a Tool Connects to Tally
| Mode | How it works | Examples on this list | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| TDL inside Tally | Code that changes Tally screens, vouchers and reports | TallyShop add-ons, Antraweb boosters, Bizom Connect 2.0 | Re-testing at every TallyPrime upgrade |
| Sync connector | A service that reads or writes Tally through XML, ODBC or JSON | Biz Analyst, EasyEcom, Unicommerce | Tally has to be running and reachable; mapping errors at month-end |
| Hosted Tally | Your TallyPrime runs on a cloud server, opened from a browser or client | TallyPrime Cloud Access, AntraCloud | Solves access, not process or concurrency |
| File export and import | Another system produces a file; your team imports it into Tally | FilFlo, Amazon Data Import (from Amazon reports) | Posting is as frequent as your team makes it |
How We Evaluated
We judged each tool as an FMCG brand that keeps its books in TallyPrime and sells through distributors, modern trade, quick commerce and marketplaces. Every tool here has a live product page as of October 2026; names from older roundups that we could not confirm as maintained were dropped.
- Job fit: does it solve an order or inventory problem, or an accounting convenience?
- Connection mode: TDL, sync connector, hosting or file, and what breaks when Tally upgrades.
- FMCG detail: batches, expiry, schemes, godowns and channel-specific documents.
- Who maintains it: Tally Solutions, an established developer, or your own team.
- Pricing transparency: published prices are quoted as published; quote-based is stated.

1. TallyShop: Tally's Own Marketplace for TDL Add-ons
Before you hire a developer, open TallyShop. It is Tally Solutions' marketplace for add-ons built by Tally-authorised developers, reachable from F1: Help inside TallyPrime and from a web listing. Licences are one-year subscriptions that include support and updates, renewals cost 20% of the prevailing price, and most add-ons have a Try mode so you can test on your own data first. Activation runs through Tally's own licence and TDL settings.
Examples relevant to FMCG order and inventory work include importing masters from Excel, double-discount handling on invoices, merging repeat barcode scans into one line for POS billing, and a stock dashboard with item images. Treat TallyShop as the first stop for small, well-defined gaps, and check each add-on against your TallyPrime release before you buy.
Best for: Filling specific gaps in Tally screens and reports: discounts, imports, stock views, POS quirks
Not for: Running a whole new channel or a warehouse workflow inside Tally
2. Biz Analyst: Tally Data and Order Entry on the Sales Team's Phone
Biz Analyst is an Android and iOS app that reads TallyPrime and Tally.ERP 9 data through a connector installed where Tally runs (ODBC has to be enabled). Salespeople see outstanding by party, stock by batch and godown, and order history, and can create sales orders, purchase orders and receipts that sync back to Tally. It adds geo-tagged check-ins and reminders, and its FAQ says the app works offline. Pricing is published per device per year, with a seven-day trial.
For a brand selling to a few hundred trade customers with a small field team, this is the cheapest way to stop orders arriving by WhatsApp photo. Run the trial against your current TallyPrime release before you roll it out.
Best for: Owners and salespeople who need outstanding, stock by batch and godown, and order entry on mobile
Not for: Beat planning, scheme management or distributor-level secondary sales
3. SalesOn: Field Sales and Van Distribution That Posts to Tally
SalesOn is a sales and distribution app for Indian distributors and MSMEs with field teams. It covers beat plans with geo-verified visits, order taking from a digital catalogue with schemes applied automatically, van sales with end-of-day van stock reconciliation, digital proof of delivery, and invoice-wise collections. Field orders, GST invoices and payment receipts post to TallyPrime or Tally.ERP 9 ledgers, so accounts does not re-key them. Pricing is published per user, from Rs 2,500 a user a year on the Pro plan, with a seven-day trial.
It sits between a mobile Tally viewer and a full DMS: more sales process than Biz Analyst, far lighter than Bizom or FieldAssist. That makes it a fit for a brand that runs its own distribution in a few cities, or for the distributors themselves.
Best for: Distributors and MSME brands running beats, van sales and collections
Not for: Enterprise brands that need distributor-level DMS across hundreds of distributors
4. Antraweb and Other TDL Developers: When TallyShop Doesn't Have It
Many developers write TDL (Tally Definition Language) customisations. Antraweb in Mumbai is one of the larger ones: it sells packaged boosters for barcode and label printing, rack and bin-wise stock, stockist sales visibility with schemes and claims, a sales order booking app, an Excel-to-Tally utility, and hosted Tally. Welfare Infotech, which also lists on TallyShop, sells discount, outstanding follow-up and WhatsApp boosters. Several of these packaged boosters are still labelled for Tally.ERP 9, so confirm TallyPrime support for each one.
Custom TDL is cheap to start, which is why it gets overused. Every customisation must be re-tested at each TallyPrime release, and a brand that rebuilds order processing in TDL ends up maintaining a small ERP of its own. Keep TDL for things that belong in the books.
Best for: Brands with a specific Tally workflow gap that a packaged add-on does not cover
Not for: Teams without someone to own the customisation when TallyPrime upgrades
5. Tally's Own Plug-ins: Amazon Data Import and Docs by Ira
Tally now sells a few plug-ins of its own. The most relevant for consumer brands is Amazon Data Import, which brings Amazon sales, refund and settlement reports into TallyPrime from Amazon's Excel reports so marketplace transactions are not posted line by line. Docs by Ira, used with the TallyIra mobile app, converts invoices, bills and receipts into TallyPrime entries from scanned documents; Tally says it needs a recent release and active TSS.
Both are accounting conveniences: they speed up posting, but do not decide what to ship, from which batch, against which PO.
Best for: Amazon sellers posting settlements, and teams keying supplier bills and documents by hand
Not for: Orders from quick commerce, modern trade or distributors
6. TallyPrime Cloud Access: One Tally for Every Warehouse and Office
Multi-location access is where brands on desktop Tally feel pain first. Tally's answer is TallyPrime Cloud Access, hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, with access through a browser or a virtual client. Plans start at Rs 600 a user a month plus GST on 3, 6 or 12-month subscriptions, and the TallyPrime licence is bought separately. Third-party hosts such as Antraweb's AntraCloud sell the same idea.
Hosting solves access, not process. Five people in one hosted Tally can still overwrite each other's order changes; TallyPrime Server (Rs 2,70,000 plus GST, on top of a Gold licence) is the tool for heavy concurrent use.
Best for: Brands whose accounts, warehouse and sales teams sit in different cities
Not for: Teams that only need mobile reports, which Tally's browser access already gives
Blinkit and DMart POs Still Typed into Tally by Hand?
See FilFlo run a channel PO from intake to IRN invoice, e-way bill and GRN, then produce the Tally-formatted export your accounts team imports.
7. Unicommerce: Marketplace and D2C Orders Posted to Tally
If marketplace parcels are drowning your Tally, the fix is not a TDL; it is running orders in an e-commerce OMS and posting the results. Unicommerce documents a one-click sync that sends GST sales for dispatched items, cancellations, returns, purchase orders and item masters from Uniware into Tally, with batch-aware stock updates. It supports TallyPrime 2.0 or later and Tally.ERP 9 from 6.0.1.
Its centre of gravity is the consumer parcel, so it does not solve the purchase-order side. Our Top 10 Order Management Systems guide covers where B2C and B2B order systems split.
Best for: Brands with high B2C volume from Amazon, Flipkart and their own site
Not for: PO-driven channels such as quick commerce, modern trade or distributors
8. EasyEcom: Marketplace OMS with an XML Connector to Tally
EasyEcom connects to TallyPrime and Tally.ERP 9 through Tally's XML interface. Marketplace and D2C orders post as sales vouchers, goods received against a PO create the purchase entry, returns become credit notes against the original invoice, and stock adjustments post with reason codes. Item and ledger masters stay aligned in both directions.
As with Unicommerce, this is the right pairing for B2C volume and the wrong tool for Blinkit POs, distributor credit terms or GRN shortfalls.
Best for: Marketplace-heavy D2C brands that want returns and stock adjustments posted with reasons
Not for: Brands whose growth is B2B purchase orders
9. Bizom Connect 2.0: Distributor Tally Data into a DMS
This one runs on your distributors' Tally, not yours, because many distributors will not give up Tally billing for a brand's DMS. Bizom Connect 2.0 is a connector for TallyPrime 3.0 and above that sends daily sales and inventory from the distributor's Tally into Bizom's DMS and SFA, with validation checks, errors logged in a Tally report and email alerts. Bizom puts setup at a few hours including master mapping.
It answers a different question from the rest of this list: what did my distributors sell to retailers yesterday? For the full picture, see our guide to the best distributor management systems for FMCG brands.
Best for: Brands that want secondary sales and stock from distributors who bill in Tally
Not for: A brand's own order and inventory operations
10. FilFlo: Quick Commerce and Modern Trade POs, Exported in Tally Format
This is our product, and it is not a Tally add-on. FilFlo is the order-to-cash operations layer for FMCG brands selling through quick commerce, modern trade and distributors. It runs the order side outside Tally: PO intake, SKU-level approvals with quantity cuts, batch and expiry-aware picklists, GST invoicing with IRN on multi-GSTIN invoicing profiles, e-way bills, GRN capture with reason codes, and credit notes from platform settlement files.
The hand-off to Tally is a file, stated exactly: each FilFlo customer and product master carries a Tally Customer Name and Tally Item Name field, and report exports come out formatted for Tally import with those names already on every row. Your accounts team exports on its own cadence and imports through Tally's import workflow. There is no connector, API or local bridge, nothing is read back from Tally, and Tally stays the ledger. The Tally export workflow page shows each step; brands that want a live API feed into an ERP should look at the Dynamics 365 integration instead.
Best for: FMCG brands whose orders arrive as Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart, modern trade or distributor POs
Not for: Anyone looking for a Tally add-on, a live Tally sync, or an accounting replacement
How to Choose: Match the Tool to the Problem
Field orders arrive on WhatsApp and get re-keyed: Biz Analyst for order entry and outstanding on mobile; SalesOn if you also run beats, van sales and collections.
A small gap in Tally screens or reports: Search TallyShop first, then a TDL developer such as Antraweb or Welfare Infotech. Keep it small.
Accounts, warehouse and sales in different cities: TallyPrime Cloud Access or a third-party Tally host; TallyPrime Server for heavy concurrent use.
Marketplace and D2C parcels flooding the books: Unicommerce or EasyEcom running orders, posting to Tally.
No visibility of distributor secondary sales: A DMS such as Bizom, with Bizom Connect 2.0 reading distributors' Tally data.
Quick commerce and modern trade POs, GRNs and credit notes: An order-to-cash layer such as FilFlo, handing Tally a pre-mapped import file.
The pattern: keep Tally for the ledger, statutory accounting and inventory valuation, run each channel's order lifecycle in a system built for it, and pick a connection mode your accounts team can live with. Our quick commerce order-to-cash guide shows where the order system ends and the books begin.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does TallyPrime handle batch and expiry tracking without an add-on?
Yes. TallyPrime supports batch-wise stock with manufacturing and expiry dates, batch-wise ageing and batch summary reports, multiple godowns with transfers through stock journals, price levels and price lists, and sales and purchase order processing with delivery and receipt notes. Check those built-in features before buying a TDL for them; most FMCG brands need add-ons for channels and field sales, not for batch tracking.
What is TallyShop?
TallyShop is Tally Solutions' marketplace for add-ons built by Tally-authorised developers. You open it from F1: Help inside TallyPrime or browse it on the web. Add-ons are one-year subscriptions that include support and updates, renewals cost 20% of the prevailing price, and most offer a Try mode on your own data before you pay.
What is the best Tally add-on for taking sales orders from the field?
For a small field team that mainly needs order entry, outstanding and stock on the phone, Biz Analyst is the common choice: orders created in the app sync back to Tally through a connector. For beats, schemes, van sales and proof of delivery, SalesOn posts orders, invoices and receipts into Tally. Brands with hundreds of distributors usually outgrow both and move to a DMS such as Bizom, which can read distributor Tally data through Bizom Connect 2.0.
Does TallyPrime have an API for integrations?
TallyPrime can be integrated through its XML and ODBC interfaces and through TDL, and release 7.0 (December 2025) added JSON import and export. Each tool on this list uses one of these routes or a plain file import, which decides how it behaves when Tally is closed, upgraded or moved to the cloud.
Can Tally manage Blinkit, Zepto or modern trade purchase orders?
Tally can record a sales order and an invoice, but it does not read platform PO files, map channel SKU codes, track appointment slots, generate ASNs or capture GRN shortfalls with reasons. Brands with meaningful quick commerce or modern trade volume run those POs in an order-to-cash tool and post the results to Tally, rather than building that workflow in TDL.
Does FilFlo integrate with Tally?
Not through a connector. FilFlo produces report exports formatted for Tally import, with Tally Customer Name and Tally Item Name fields on its masters so rows match your existing ledgers and stock items. Your accounts team imports the file through Tally's own import workflow on its own cadence. Nothing is installed next to Tally and nothing is read back from it.
Do Tally add-ons need an active TSS subscription?
Tally's connected features, including e-invoicing, e-way bills, GST filing, browser access to reports, remote access and upgrades, need an active Tally Software Services (TSS) subscription, and Tally's own plug-ins such as Docs by Ira require it too. Third-party add-ons set their own requirements, so ask the developer which TallyPrime release and licence each one needs.
Keep Tally as the Ledger. Run the Orders Upstream.
Bring a real Blinkit, Zepto or modern trade PO to a 30-minute demo and watch it go from intake to IRN invoice and GRN, ending in an export already mapped to your Tally ledger and stock-item names.
